On Friday, February 18th, 2022 at 7:30pm our Club is will celebrate Black History Month with a special program with a speaker from the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (“ASAALH”). The ASAALH was founded in 1915 by Carter G. Woodson to chronical Black history and culture.
Our speaker will be Marie Day, a member of the ASAALH Prince George’s County Truth Branch, and a volunteer with WomenHeart. Her background in medical technology and her own personal insights on heart disease will offer a perspective to raise awareness and help educate others about prevention strategies. Thanks to Katy Pape from the club's Programming Committee for arranging this speaker.
