    District 4 Candidate Forum, 1-5pm Sunday 6/26/2022

    The Eleanor & Franklin Roosevelt Democratic Club and the County Council District 4 Candidate Forum Planning Committee are sponsoring an in-person forum at the Greenbriar Community Building on Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 1pm -5pm.  RSVP Here.


    The first forum, which begins at 1pm, run by the Democratic Club, will feature Glenn Ivey and Donna Edwards, the two leading candidates for the 4th Congressional District. 


    The second forum begins at 3pm and features  candidates Michael Esteve, Ingrid Harrison, Patrice Murray (and possibly Trance Washington) running for the County's 4th District County Council sea

    The event is free but does require that you register at the Roosevelt Club.com web site as seating is limited to 70 people. If   you have any questions, please call (301) 345-9369.

    The Eleanor & Franklin Roosevelt Democratic Club features the challenges the issue of immigration at its meeting of Friday, December 17th, 7:30 on zoom. To secure the link, use the Club’s web page, rooseveltclub.com.

    With over twenty years in immigration law, Jill Marie Bussey applies legal analysis, experience, and strategic thinking to immigration law and policy challenges.


    Jill began her legal career as an immigration paralegal and has a post-graduate certificate in Legal Assistant Studies from George Washington University.

    She went on to pursue her law degree, graduating cm laude with a Juris Doctor with a concentration in Business Law from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Jill has been practicing law since 2004. Jill is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

    Jill is an immigration lawyer, a passionate and tenacious advocate, and community leader who serves as the Director of Public Policy at Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service.

    Club Update

    Our first in-person meeting in many months will take place on Nov 19th, 2021 @ 7:30pm at the Greenbriar Condominiums Terrace Room 7600 Hanover Parkway, Greenbelt, MD 20770 If you come in person, you must bring your vaccination card, and wear a mask at all times.  Additionally, the seats will be separated a good distance from each other.  You may also connect to the meeting via zoom.  Click on the prompt below “Use this link to RSVP and the link will be sent to you on the day of the event.

    Our topic for the meeting will be redistricting and we will be talking about efforts at the federal, state, and county levels.  Our speaker will be Joanne Antoine, Executive Director - Common Cause Maryland.

    She will "zoom" in for her presentation, but the club meeting will be in person.  Mask are still required indoors in Prince George's County.
