Celebrate Black History with the Roosevelt Club!

On Friday, February 18th, 2022 at 7:30pm our Club will celebrate Black History Month by hosting a speaker from the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (“ASAALH”).  The ASAALH was founded in 1915 by Carter G. Woodson to chronical and preserve Black history and culture.

The theme for Black History Month 2022 is "Black Health and Wellness".  Our speaker will be Marie Day, a member of the ASAALH Prince George’s County Truth Branch, and a volunteer with WomenHeartHer background in medical technology and her own personal insights on heart disease will offer a perspective to raise awareness and help educate others about prevention strategies.  Thanks to Katy Pape from the club's Programming Committee for arranging this speaker.
